Charles W. Sanders, 60 of 1559 S. Main Street Road, passed away at 11:57 p.m. on April 20, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Charles was born on September 15, 1951 in Vincennes the son of Oliver M. and Margaret (Fuller) Sanders. He married Alice Godfrey on December 16, 1979.

Charles had worked for Vincennes Steel for 30 years and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Sanders of Vincennes; sons, Brian Sanders of Washington; Brandon Sanders of Vincennes; sisters, Marcella Walker and her husband Ed of Vincennes; Mary Tumey and her husband, Wes of Vincennes; and Patricia Frye of Vincennes. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

A memorial service for Charles will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at First Christian Church, 319 Broadway Street, with the Rev. Rick Grant officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the church. Goodwin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
