Betty Jane Cook, 89, of Bicknell, passed away at her daughter’s home on May 26, 2012.
Born Jan. 12, 1923 in Flora, IL, she was the daughter of Noble and Cleo (Trainer) Hoskins. Her parents preceded her, as well as her husband, Roy Dale Cook; her son, George Edward Cook; and two brothers, Donald and George Hoskins.
Survivors include her daughters, Pam (Brian) Detty of Bicknell, IN and Brenda Sue Spond of Largo, FL; sons Michael L. (Kathy) Cook of St. Petersburg, FL and Ricky Dale Cook of Bonita Springs, FL; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a niece, Donna Hoskins of Clio, SC.
Betty was a homemaker who was devoted to her family, and especially enjoyed cooking for them. She liked crossword puzzles, and was a member of the Lawrenceville Moose.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5:00 – 7:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. A funeral service will follow at 7:00. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery on Thursday.
