Wayne Burton Johanningsmeier, 84, of Vincennes, passed away at his home, July 25, 2012.
He had been the co-owner of Standard Milling. An Army veteran, he served during the Korean War, and was a member of the Lawrenceville VFW. Burt enjoyed playing the organ, and computers. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ.
Born April 10, 1928, in Vincennes, he was the son of Adolph and Esther (Kochs) Johanningsmeier. Passing away before him were his parents and a brother.
Surviving is a sister-in-law, Gladys Johanningsmeier-Phillips of Pinellas Park, Fl; nieces Jerri Johanningsmeier of Vincennes, Jill Lopez of Vincennes, Jane Brown of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jo Lea Tarrh of Grapevine, TX; nephews, John Johanningsmeier of Danville, IL, and Jim Johanningsmeier of Peoria, IL; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
