Gage Austin Jenkins, 8 passed away at 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at his residence. Gage was born on August 27, 2003 in Vincennes the son of Brandy King and Eli Jenkins and they survive.

Gage attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church and was a second grader at Tecumseh-Harrison elementary school. He loved to fish and play basketball. He also enjoyed music, wrestling, video games and playing with his friends.

Survivors include his parents, Brandy King and Eli Jenkins, Jr. of Vincennes; siblings, Alexis Jenkins, Cole King, and Devon Jenkins; paternal grandparents, Eli Sr. and Virginia Jenkins of Columbus, GA; maternal great grandparents, Larry and Phyllis Mikiska of Vincennes; maternal great grandfather, Samuel King of Sandborn, IN; Aunt Tina Catt of Vincennes, Uncle Tommy King of Vincennes; cousins, Josh and Jessica Catt of Vincennes; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. Gage was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas King and Rebecca Mikiska.

Funeral services for Gage will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, with Pastor Cody Ramsay officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
