James K. Lenahan

James K. Lenahan, 89 of 150 Fox Ridge Drive #142, passed away on July 12, 2012. James was born on September 23, 1922 in Vincennes the son of Raymond and Marcelline (DeLisle) Lenahan. He married Juanita Rhoads on July 9, 1983 and she preceded him in death on July 5, 2011.
James was a member of Old Cathedral Catholic Church and served his country during WW II along with his four brothers and to this day there is a picture of the five of them while they served during the war. He was a graduate of Purdue University and was an engineer, having worked for Texaco Refinery and Vincennes Steel. He was a member of the American Legion, the Harmony Society and the Vincennes Elks, where he was an avid golfer. He ran the woodworking shop at the senior center after retiring from Texaco. He also worked for G.S. Ridgeway Associates and was the Vincennes City Inspector for a short period.
Survivors include his son, Scott Lenahan of Danville, IN; daughter, Suzan Lenahan Langlois and her husband Chip of Irvine, CA; grandchildren, Jennifer, Lenahan-Coursey and Rob Coursey; step children, Dan Spence of Avon, IN; Sue Sullivan and her husband Con, of Grand Junction, CO.; Geana Thompson of Las Vegas, NV; Mardi Leonard and her husband, Michael of Bloomington, IN and Lisa Spence of Cinncinnati, OH. James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, Mildred Miller and four brothers, C. Bernard, J. Patrick, H. Robert and C. Raymond Jr., Lenahan
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. John Schipp officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
