Con M. Cardinal, 70, of 2206 Duke Street passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Con was born on April 9, 1942 in Vincennes the son of Morris E. and Margaret I. (Long) Cardinal. Con married Nan Williams on August 10, 1993. Con worked in car sales and service for many years and most recently at Trent Auto Sales. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and loved camping and I.U. basketball. Survivors include his wife, Nan Cardinal of Vincennes, daughters, Sherri Caballero and her husband Robin of Bruceville; Tammy Wessel and her husband Tim of Jasper; Tracy Haase of Jasper; stepsons, Jeffrey Parker and his fiancée Lisa of Spencer, IN; Gary Parker and his wife Missy of Ft. Myers, FL; brother Don Cardinal and his wife Betty of Vincennes; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and brother-in-law, Jack Williams and his wife Sherrill. Con was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Tim Ellingsworth, stepson, Brian Parker and grandson, Josh Parker. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Friends may visit with the family from 3- 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. until the service time on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Vincent De Paul or St. John’s Lutheran Church.
